Would you like to become one of our volunteers?

Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, meet new people and participate in your community.

Volunteers have been involved in providing a range of services at ISCHS including:

Drivers
Family visitors
Hydrotherapy assistants
Indigenous Access program support
Peer supporters
Processing ISCHS member mail outs
Speech Therapy assistants

Current Opportunities

We are looking for the following volunteers. Are you interested?

General Drivers

Do you have a current driver’s licence? Would you like to assist isolated community members?

ISCHS needs volunteer drivers from their place of residence and take them to specific ISCHS groups or appointments such as dental visits or play groups.

Opportunities exist in Prahran, South Melbourne or St Kilda. Appropriate training, support and vehicles provided. A police check, and where appropriate, working with children check will be required (ISCHS covers these costs).

Commitment required: Positions vary but approximately 4 hours per week or fortnight.

Between October and December 2009, our volunteers contributed over 489 hours of their time, including roughly 540 client contacts.
